North Coast Down Syndrome Network is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2005 to provide support and information to families along the north coast of Oregon, and SW Washington. We are directly affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society. The NCDSN is the only local organization dedicated solely to serving this area's Down syndrome population and their families and friends.

Who we are

We are a group of parents, family, and friends of children with Down Syndrome. We have joined together to share knowledge with other families and help support new parents. We also find it necessary to better educate ourselves, professionals, and the public about Down syndrome, and constantly remind everyone of all the things our children can do.

What we believe

We believe that knowledge empowers. By providing families with support, inspiration and information, we help people with Down syndrome achieve their potential.

We believe in inclusive opportunities. Including individuals with Down syndrome in neighborhood schools, community activities, and the business world benefits both the individuals and their respective communities.

We believe in the power of parents. By sharing experiences, joys and sorrows, parents can support and strengthen each other during this uncommon, yet rewarding journey.
